Build the complete monument note once, review its exact line order, and place it as one clean annotation.
Monument Notes is the surveyor-controlled manual path for a unique corner that should not be interpreted automatically. Set, Found, called-prefix, and called-text wording remain separate inputs, so the note can reflect what was set, what was found, and what the record called for without blending those facts.
What that means on a drawing
The surveyor can keep a Found 5/8 inch iron pin note separate from a Call for stake line, optionally add a Set note, and preview the exact stack before returning to the drawing. The approved stack is placed as one annotative MText object rather than several unrelated pieces of text.
Detailed capabilities
- Keeps separate Set, Found, called-prefix, and called-text inputs with an independent Use Set note control.
- Offers layouts for Set/Found over Called, a single combined line, Called text only, or Called prefix over text.
- Shows the exact line order in a live review pane before the wording is used for placement.
- Keeps up to 12 recent entries in each wording field so recurring monument language can be selected without retyping it.
- Controls leader style, including arrow, line, or no leader; paper text height; output layer; and annotative behavior.
- Lets the surveyor pick the monument point and, when a leader is used, the exact note location and attachment side.
- Places the complete reviewed stack as one combined MText object and creates the selected leader presentation on the same owned layer.
- Allows the settings window to be reopened during a placement run and continues placing additional notes until the surveyor chooses Done.
How the surveyor uses it
- Enter or select the Set, Found, called-prefix, and called-text wording needed for the corner.
- Choose the line layout, leader style, paper height, layer, and annotative setting while reviewing the exact final stack.
- Use the approved settings for placement, then pick the exact monument point.
- For an arrow or line leader, pick the note location; for no leader, LABEL applies the saved offset.
- Continue with more corners or reopen Settings before choosing Done.
Monument Notes places surveyor-entered annotation at surveyor-picked locations. It does not interpret point descriptions, decide what monument exists, or change any boundary or point object. The surveyor controls the wording, line order, monument point, note position, and leader presentation.
